A spectacular pillar of rock visible from miles around, geologically Sigiriya is a hardened magma plug of an extinct volcano. Return to the Dambulla and explore the Dambulla Cave Temple. The magnificent rock temple in Dambulla, a world heritage site built in the first century BC.
