DAY 01 - Negombo

At the airport you will be met by your chauffeur for a private transfer to your hotel in Negombo, a coastal town (15km / approx. 25 mins). In the afternoon enjoy a walk along Negombo Lagoon & A Beach Walk. Spanning approximately 12 kilometers, Negombo Lagoon is a vibrant estuarine ecosystem where freshwater from rivers like the Dandugam Oya meets the Indian Ocean. This unique environment supports a rich biodiversity, including mangrove forests, diverse bird species, and marine life.

DAY 02 - Negombo - Dambulla

After breakfast, leave for Dambulla. Travel Time – Approx. 4 hrs | 150 km. Arrive and Check-to the hotel. Early afternoon, proceed to climb Sigiriya Rock Fortress, also known as the ‘Lion Rock’ This UNESCO World Heritage Site is one of Sri Lanka’s major attractions. A spectacular pillar of rock visible from miles around, geologically Sigiriya is a hardened magma plug of an extinct volcano. Historically, the origins of the remains are disputed and thought to have been either a royal fortress built under the reign of King Kashyapa (477 - 495 AD) or a Buddhist monastery. Return to the Dambulla and explore the Dambulla Cave Temple. The magnificent rock temple in Dambulla, a world heritage site built in the first century BC. It is recognized to be the largest cave sanctuary in the world with its 2000 m2 of walls and ceilings painted with more than 150 Buddha images, the largest of which is engraved in the rock and reaches 14 meters.

DAY 03 - Dambulla - Knuckles Mountain Range

After breakfast, set on an exclusive jeep safari at the Minneriya National Park (3 Hrs ) to witness the unique phenomenon of elephant gathering. During the dry season, from June to September, hundreds of elephants gather around the Minneriya Tank for water. Such a large number of elephants could not be sighted in one place, anywhere else in the world! **Depending on the elephant migration patterns, the safari will be held in Minneriya, Kaudulla or Eco Park** Back to the hotel and check-out before transferring to the Knuckles Mountain Range via Matale. Enroute stroll through the Madakumbura Village Exploration with a local guide. An immersive journey through the scenic Knuckles Mountain Range. Starting from Weralugasthenna, the trail winds through tea plantations, spice gardens, and lush forests, ending in the village of Medagama. Known for its biodiversity and sweeping views, the area offers both natural beauty and cultural charm. After the trek, you'll be picked up and driven to Riverston, famed for its misty landscapes, Mini World's End, and Sera Ella waterfall—rounding off a truly unforgettable highland adventure.

DAY 04 - Knuckles Mountain Range

After breakfast, begin your journey to trek Manigala Rock with a local guide. This Trek is the Manigala Rock hike, a scenic and moderately challenging trail located in Sri Lanka's Knuckles Mountain Range. This journey offers a blend of natural beauty, cultural insights, and refreshing experiences. The ascent of Manigala Rock starts from Atanwala village and descends toward Illukkumbura. This route offers a blend of natural beauty, biodiversity, and local village life. At the top of Manigala Rock, hikers are rewarded with panoramic views of the Knuckles Range, the Thelgamu Oya valley, and surrounding villages. Enjoy a picnic lunch during the trek. In the afternoon, return to the hotel to unwind, followed by dinner and an overnight stay in Knuckles.

DAY 05 - Knuckles Mountain Range

After early breakfast proceed on Mid Car Trek in Knuckles with a local guide. The "Mid Car Trek in Knuckles" refers to a scenic and moderately challenging trekking experience in Knuckles Mountain Range. This trek combines vehicular access to trailheads with guided hikes through diverse landscapes, making it suitable for travelers seeking adventure without extensive hiking. Visit viewpoints like Mini World's End at Pitawala Pathana, offering panoramic vistas of the surrounding valleys. Thereafter proceed to Kandy and check-in to the hotel.

DAY 06 - Kandy - Hatton

After breakfast, board the train from Kandy / Peradeniya. Railway Station and proceed on a picturesque ride to Hatton. The train journey from Kandy to Hatton is a captivating segment of Sri Lanka's renowned hill country railway, celebrated for its picturesque landscapes and cultural significance. This route offers travelers a unique opportunity to immerse themselves in the country's lush scenery and vibrant local life. ** Train ride -only on seat availability, which could be confirmed and reserved 30 days prior to the journey ** Lunch at a local restaurant. Arrive and check-in to the hotel.

DAY 07 - Hatton - Weligama

Today after breakfast, enjoy a Cycle ride from Nuwara Eliya to Welimada via Ambewela and Boragas with a local guide. Embarking on a cycling journey from Nuwara Eliya to Welimada via Ambewela offers an immersive experience through Sri Lanka's picturesque hill country. This route combines serene landscapes, cultural landmarks, and a blend of gentle and challenging terrains, making it a rewarding adventure for cycling enthusiasts. Lunch at a local restaurant on your way. Arrive and check-in to the hotel. In the evening enjoy the sunset walk (No Local Guide) through the golden beach of Mirissa.

DAY 08 - Weligama - Galle

Today drive towards the Galle. Afternoon walk and visit Galle Fort. Take a walking tour of Galle Fort where you wander along the ramparts past the iconic cricket ground and listen as your guide recounts the captivating history of this unique city. Meander through the streets past some of the best-known landmarks, including the lighthouse and old Portuguese harbour, plus many of the historic churches and residences located within the walls of the fort. The Dutch Fort and its many landmarks within, has been named as a protected UNESCO World Heritage Site. You will be able to enjoy the sunset on the fort’’s ramparts.

DAY 09 - Weligama - Airport

Breakfast at the hotel and stick with your own program in the morning. After the check out you will transfer to the airport for your departure flight. It is advisable to be at the airport 3 hrs prior to your flight. Your transfer to the airport will be arranged as per your departure flight information.
